Cheesy Mashed Potato Casserole

Ingredients
Mashed Potatoes
- 6piecepotatoes
- 4tbspbutter
- 1/2cupmilk
- 1tspsalt
- 1/2tsppepper
Cheese Mixture
- 2cupcheddar cheese, shredded
- 1cupmozzarella cheese, shredded
How to make Cheesy Mashed Potato Casserole
Prepare Mashed Potatoes
Peel and cut the potatoes into chunks.
Boil the potatoes in a large pot of salted water until tender, about 15 minutes.
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
Mash the potatoes with butter, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Mix in Cheese
Stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese into the mashed potatoes.
Bake
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Transfer the mashed potato mixture to a baking dish.
Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
Tips & Tricks
For a crispier top, broil the casserole for the last 2-3 minutes of baking.
