A creamy and comforting potato soup perfect for a cozy meal.

Ingredients

  • 8piece
    potatoes, diced
  • 2tsp
    salt
  • 3cup
    milk or cream
  • 1/8tsp
    nutmeg, optional
  • 2piece
    onions, sliced
  • 2tbsp
    butter
  • 1tbsp
    chopped parsley

How to make Cream of Potato Soup

  1. Put potatoes and onions into a saucepan with enough water to cover them.

  2. Add salt. Cover and cook over medium to low heat until potatoes are tender.

  3. Once potatoes are tender, mash them in the liquid.

  4. Add remaining ingredients. Stir constantly, and do not let it boil.

  5. Once the liquid has thickened, garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Tips & Tricks

  1. For a richer flavor, use cream instead of milk.

  2. Add a pinch of nutmeg for a subtle, warm spice.
