Healthy Jowar Soup for Weight Loss

Ingredients
Spice Mixture
- 1/2tspcumin seeds
- 1/2inginger
- 1piecegreen chilli
- 1/2tspsalt
Jowar Mixture
- 2tbspjowar flour
- 1/2cupwater
Vegetables
- 1tspolive oil
- 1/4cupfrozen sweet corn
- 2tbspfrozen green peas
- 2tbspgrated carrot
Soup Base
- 2cupswater
- 2tbspchopped coriander leaves
How to make Healthy Jowar Soup for Weight Loss
Prepare Spice Mixture
In a mortar and pestle, crush cumin seeds, ginger, green chilli, and salt until a coarse paste forms. Set aside.
Prepare Jowar Mixture
In a small bowl, mix jowar flour with water until smooth and lump-free. Set aside.
Cook Vegetables
In a pan over low flame, heat olive oil and sauté frozen sweet corn, frozen green peas, and grated carrot until they are crunchy. Set aside.
Prepare Soup
In a saucepan, bring water to a rolling boil over medium flame.
Add the jowar mixture to the boiling water and stir well. Boil for 3 minutes.
Add the prepared spice mixture and boil for another 5 minutes until the soup starts thickening.
Add the sautéed vegetables and salt to taste. Stir and boil for 2 more minutes.
Turn off the flame and pour the soup into bowls. Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves before serving.
Tips & Tricks
You can add any vegetables of your choice.
Coconut oil or butter can be used as a substitute for olive oil.
