Ingredients
Sugar Syrup
- 1 1/2cupssugar
- 1 1/2cupswater
- 2piececardamom, crushed
- 1pinchsaffron strands

- 3/4cupGits instant jamun mix
- 1/4cupmilk
- 1tspghee
How to make Gulab Jamun with Gits Premix
Prepare Sugar Syrup
In a deep pan, add sugar and water. Allow to dissolve and boil until the sugar melts. Takes 5-7 minutes.
Add crushed cardamom and saffron strands. Mix well and allow to boil for 1 more minute. Check for Greasy texture.
Turn off the flame and cover the sugar syrup with a lid. Set aside.
Prepare Gulab Jamun
In a mixing bowl, add the instant jamun mix and gradually add milk. Knead the dough gently, just to combine, and rest for 10 minutes covered with a lid.
After 10 minutes, knead the dough again gently until smooth and soft.
Apply ghee to your hands and gently take a small amount of dough. Roll into crack-free balls. Repeat for all jamuns.
Heat oil in a deep kadai over low flame. Once hot, gently slide the jamuns into the oil and stir occasionally. Fry until golden brown.
Transfer the fried jamuns into the warm sugar syrup. Gently stir, cover with a lid, and let them rest for 1 to 2 hours.
Serve the gulab jamuns in a bowl, optionally with vanilla ice cream on top.
