A simple and flavorful butter garlic mushroom dish, perfect as a side or topping for various dishes.
Ingredients
- 450gfresh mushrooms (cremini or button), cleaned and sliced
- 3tbspsalted butter
- 1tspolive oil
- 8clove garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1tsporegano
- 1tspChilli Flakes (adjust as per taste)
- 1tspparsley
- 2tspgrated cheese
How to make Butter Garlic Mushrooms
Melt the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Once the butter is melted and bubbling, Add the minced garlic and cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently to avoid burning the garlic.
Add the sliced mushrooms. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they start to brown and release their moisture.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add oregano , chilli flakes and parsley for extra flavour.
Cook for another minute or two until the mushrooms are tender and well-coated with the garlic butter.
Add the grated cheese and sauté for a minute.
Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley.
Tips & Tricks
Ensure the mushrooms are dry before cooking to achieve a nice browning.
Adjust the amount of garlic according to your preference for a stronger or milder flavor.
