For the dough

  • 2cups
    whole wheat flour
  • 1tsp
    salt
  • 1tbsp
    oil
  • 3cup
    water

  • 3
    medium potatoes
  • 1tsp
    cumin seeds
  • 1tsp
    red chili powder
  • 1tsp
    garam masala
  • 2tbsp
    fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1tsp
    salt

For cooking

  • 4tbsp
    ghee or oil

How to make Street Style Paratha

Prepare the dough

  1. In a large bowl, mix the whole wheat flour and salt. Add oil and mix well.

  2. Gradually add water and knead to form a soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Prepare the filling

  1. Boil the potatoes until tender, then peel and mash them.

  2. In a pan, heat a little oil and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the mashed potatoes.

  3. Add red chili powder, garam masala, chopped coriander, and salt. Mix well and cook for a few minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool.
