- 1tspCoriander seeds
- 1tspTurmeric powder
- 1tspRed chilli powder
- 1/4tspHing
- 1Onion
- 3tbspRice flour
- 1cupCoriander leaves
- Salt to taste
- Cooking oil for frying
How to make Monsoon Special Dal Vada
Preparation
Soak the chana dal for 3-4 hours.
Drain the soaked dal and transfer it to a blender.
Add cumin seeds, garlic, ginger, green chillies, curry leaves, coriander seeds, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and hing to the blender.
Blend the mixture to a coarse paste.
Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add chopped onion, rice flour, coriander leaves, and salt.
Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
Frying
Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
Once the oil is hot, take small portions of the mixture and shape them into vadas.
Carefully drop the vadas into the hot oil.
Fry until they are golden brown and crispy.
Remove the vadas from the oil and drain on paper towels.
