This amzingly delicious chicken karahai made with "desi" chicken in butter is very easy to make and does not need any special ingredients. It is made with spices already present in your kitchen, but the product is a perfect meal for your daily cooking or very special get together.

Ingredients:

  • 3tbsp
    cooking oil
  • 750g
    desi (country) chicken
  • 2
    medium onion finely chopped
  • 3
    Tomato
  • 1tbsp
    ginger paste
  • 1tbsp
    garlic paste
  • 3/4tsp
    salt
  • 1/4tsp
    red chilli powder
  • 1/4tsp
    turmeric
  • 2cup
    water
  • 3/4tsp
    crushed red chilli
  • 1/2tsp
    all spice powder
  • 1/2tsp
    cumin corriander powder
  • 50g
    butter
  • 1/2tsp
    black pepper powder
  • 3
    green chilli

How to make Authentic recipe of Butt chicken karahi

Recipe

    1. Add oil, chicken, onion, tomato, ginger garlic paste, salt, red chilli powder and turmeric in pressure cooker.

  1. 2. Cook on high flame till water of chicken dries.

  2. 3. Add water and give pressure of 25 minutes.

  3. 4. Shift chicken to a wide open pan and cook on high flame. Mash tomatoes with spatula.

  4. 5. Add crushed red chilli, cumin corriander powder and all spice powder. Mix well.

  6. 7. When water is about to dry, add black pepper powder and mix well.

  7. 8. When water gets dried and oil separates, add green chilli and steam cook for 5 minutes.

Tips & Tricks

    1. You can use broiler chicken instead of desi (country) chicken.
  1. 2. If you are using broiler chicken, don't use pressure cooker. Make it in regular pot.

  2. 3. Wait for 5 minutes before opening the pressure cooker. Release pressure before opening the lid.

  3. 4. After shifting to wide open pan, mix everything added carefully, as chicken is tender and can be mashed if mixed harshly.
