How to make Easy Puff Pastry Spirals
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, combine 4 tablespoons of butter, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
Unfold the thawed puff pastry and roll it into a rectangular shape with the long side facing you.
Spread the filling on one half of the pastry using the back of a spoon.
Fold the plain half of the pastry over the filled half and lightly roll over it with a rolling pin.
Cut the pastry into 5 even strips. Then cut each strip in half lengthwise.
Twist the two lengths of each strip together and roll up the twist into a spiral, tucking the end underneath. Place on the prepared sheet pan.
Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and brush over the tops of the pastries. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown. Transfer to a wire rack to cool using a cookie spatula. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Tips & Tricks
If you want to make more spirals, simply double the ingredients to use a whole box of puff pastry.
These puff pastry spirals are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a day or two.
