    thyme
  • 1tbsp
    ginger and garlic paste

    tomato, grated

    tomato puree
  • 1/2tsp
    sugar (optional)

White Sauce

  • 2
    stick butter, melted
  • 2tbsp
    flour
  • 2 1/2cup
    milk
  • 1tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1tsp
    onion powder
  • 1tsp
    salt
  • 1tsp
    black pepper

    package lasagna sheets
  • 2cup
    grated cheese

How to make South African Styled Beef Mince Lasagna

Beef Mince Filling

  1. In a frying pan, heat oil.

  2. Add onions, thyme, ginger, and garlic paste. Allow to simmer for 3 minutes.

  3. Add mince and cook for 10 minutes, turning every 5 minutes. Allowing water to dry.

  4. Add garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt to taste. Stir and simmer for 5 minutes.

  5. Add grated tomatoes and canned tomato puree. If too sour, add sugar.

  1. In an oven tray, place lasagna sheets followed by cooked mince and white sauce. Repeat the procedure 2 more times.

  2. Place in a preheated oven at 180°C and bake for 15 minutes.

  3. Remove from oven, top with grated cheese, and bake for a further 10 minutes.
