Ingredients
- 250gof All purpose flour
- 1tspof Baking powder
- 1/2cupof granulated sugar
- 2eggs
- 1/2cupof peanut butter
- 100gButter ( room temperature)
- vanilla
- salt
How to make Peanut Butter Cookies
Preheat the Oven**:
** - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).**
** - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.**
Beat butter and sugar until it doubles in size
add peanut butter to the sugar and butter mix and beat for 1min
then add egg and vanilla and beat together till creamy
In a large bowl combine dry ingredients together
-All purpose flour, baking powder and salt,
-Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients,
** - Mix until well combined. The dough will be thick.**
Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls.
** - Place the dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.**
Flatten and Create the Classic Crosshatch Pattern**:
** - Use a fork to flatten each dough ball, creating a crisscross pattern on the top of each cookie.**
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set and the cookies are slightly golden.
** - They may look slightly underbaked in the center, but they will firm up as they cool**
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Tips & Tricks
For a twist, you can add chocolate chips or chopped nuts to the dough.
- These cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
