- 1cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1cupmilk chocolate chips
How to make Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake
Prepare the Mousse
In a double boiler, melt the dark chocolate chips. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
In another bowl, whisk together the egg whites and sugar until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder and melted butter. Add the egg whites and whisk until smooth.
Fold the whipped cream into the cocoa mixture until well combined.
Fold the melted dark chocolate into the cocoa mixture until well combined.
Pour the mixture into individual serving cups or a large serving dish.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
Prepare the Topping
Melt the semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips in a double boiler.
Pour over the chilled mousse.
Chill for an additional 30 minutes before serving.
