What are some good substitutions for ingredients in avocado salad?
If you don't have certain ingredients on hand, you can substitute diced tomatoes with cherry tomatoes or even diced bell peppers for a different flavor. For the cabbage, you can use shredded lettuce or spinach. Feel free to add other veggies like radishes or corn to customize your salad to your taste.
How should I store leftover avocado salad to keep it fresh?
To store leftover avocado salad, place it in an airtight container and cover the surface with plastic wrap to minimize air exposure. It's best to consume it within a day to prevent the avocado from browning. If you notice browning, you can mix in a bit more lemon juice to refresh it.
