This is a very easy to make rice recipe. It is very delicious when served with chicken hotshots and garlic sauce or chicken roast.

Quick and Easy KFC Style Rice recipe

Ingredients

4 Servings
(1 serving = 1 cup)
  • 2cup
    Basmati rice
  • 1
    Capsicum
  • 4clove
    Cloves
  • 5
    Cardamom
  • 3
    Green chilli
  • 1
    cube Chicken stock
  • 1/4cup
    Butter
  • 1/4cup
    Oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 2
    drop Yellow food color (optional)

How to make Quick and Easy KFC Style Rice

  1. Wash and soak the rice for 20 minutes. Drain the water and set aside.

  2. Heat a pressure cooker and add oil and butter.

  3. Add cloves and cardamom to the cooker.

  4. Add green chilli and capsicum. Fry for 2 minutes in medium to high flame.

  6. Add 3 cups of water and salt. When it starts bubbling, add the drained rice and food color.

  7. Let it boil on high flame. When it starts bubbling, close the lid without the whistle.

  8. Boil on high flame for 3 minutes, then turn the flame to low and cook for another 12 minutes.

  9. Turn off the flame and let it rest for 5 minutes before opening.

  10. Serve the KFC style rice with chicken hotshots and garlic sauce.
