Quail Egg Fry / Kada Mutta Fry

Quail egg fry, also known as Kada mutta fry, is a street food special, especially popular in the Kozhikode beach areas. It's a spicy flavored dry dish where quail eggs are covered with flavored masala, making it a lip-smacking dish. It can be made within a few minutes.

Ingredients
- 10pieceQuail egg
- 1tspChilli powder
- 1/4tspPepper powder
- 1/4tspTurmeric powder
- 1/4tspCoriander powder
- 1/4tspGaram masala
- 1/2tspFennel seed powder
- 1sprigCurry leaves
- 1tbspOil
- Salt to taste
How to make Quail Egg Fry / Kada Mutta Fry
Boil the quail eggs until they are cooked well.
Peel the eggs and set them aside.
In a bowl, mix chilli powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, fennel seed powder, and salt with 1 tsp of water to make the masala mix. Set aside.
Heat a pan and add oil followed by curry leaves.
Add the masala mix to the pan and sauté on low flame for 30 seconds.
Add the boiled eggs and mix for another 30-40 seconds in low flame.
Turn off the flame and serve.
Tips & Tricks
Serve with a cup of tea or coffee for a delightful experience.
The powdered masalas mix with 1 tsp water and then add it to the oil, by doing this it won't burn.
