A simple and tasty pappadam stir fry that serves as a great accompaniment to rice or can be enjoyed as a snack. This can be prepared in a few minutes.

Ingredients
- 5piecePappadam
- 15pieceShallots
- 2cloveGarlic
- 1tspChilli powder
- 1sprigCurry leaves
- Salt
- 3tbspOil
How to make Pappadam Thoran / Pappadam Stir Fry / Easy side dish
Cut the pappadam into small pieces.
Deep fry the pappadam in one or two batches until crispy. Set aside.
In a mixer jar, add shallots and chilli powder. Pulse once or twice to crush them.
Heat a pan and add oil.
Add the shallot and chilli powder mixture along with garlic.
Sauté until it turns golden brown.
Add curry leaves and a little salt for the shallots.
Add the fried pappadam pieces and gently mix.
Turn off the heat.
Tips & Tricks
Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying the pappadam to achieve a crispy texture.
