  • 200g
    Rice ada
  • 3000mL
    Full fat milk
  • 600g
    Sugar
  • 1tbsp
    Butter

How to make Palada Payasam

Cooking Instructions

  1. Take a 10-liter pressure cooker.

  2. Add the milk and sugar to the pressure cooker.

  3. Mix the ingredients well.

  4. Boil the mixture.

  5. When the milk starts to rise, turn the flame low.

  6. Close the lid with the whistle.

  7. Let it boil on low flame for 45 minutes without allowing it to whistle.

  8. Meanwhile, soak the ada in hot water and set aside.

  9. After 45 minutes, turn off the flame.

  10. Allow the pressure to completely release.

  11. Open the lid and add the soaked and drained ada to the boiled milk.

  12. Boil it again for another 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  13. Once done, add the butter and mix well.

  14. Turn off the flame and stir continuously for 2 minutes.

  15. The tasty palada is ready to serve.

  1. Ensure that the milk does not overflow by keeping the flame low once it starts boiling.

  2. Stir the payasam occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the cooker.
