- 1tbspWheat
- 1inCinnamon piece
- 2cloveClove
- 1pieceCardamom
- 1/4tspYeast
- 1 1/2LWater
How to make Orange Wine
Preparation
Clean the orange and wipe it using a clean cloth.
Peel the orange and remove the white parts and seeds.
Transfer the orange pieces into a sterilized container.
Add sugar and mash the mixture using a clean, dry masher.
Add cooled boiled water to the mixture.
Add yeast. If using instant yeast, add directly. If using normal yeast, mix it in lukewarm water for 5 minutes before adding.
Add spices and wheat to the mixture.
Mix well and close the lid. Stir daily for 7 days.
Fermentation
After 7 days, strain the mixture using a muslin cloth.
Transfer the strained liquid to clean, dry bottles and let it sit untouched for another 7 days.
After 7 days, strain it again using a muslin cloth.
Pour the wine into bottles and it is ready to use.
Tips & Tricks
Ensure all equipment used is clean and dry to prevent contamination.
Stir the mixture daily to ensure even fermentation.
