    Luke warm water

How to make Aloo Paratha

Making Dough

  1. In a bowl, add wheat flour, salt, and sugar. Mix well.

  2. Gradually add water and knead to form a soft, non-sticky dough.

  3. Grease with some oil and cover the dough. Let it rest for 30 minutes.

Making Filling

  1. Cook the potatoes and mash them. Set aside.

  2. Heat a pan and add oil. Then add fennel seeds.

  3. Add ginger and green chilli, and sauté for a few seconds.

  4. Add chopped onion and sauté until it becomes transparent.

  5. Add curry leaves, turmeric powder, and salt along with hot water.

  6. When it starts bubbling, reduce the flame and let it boil until the water is completely reduced.

  7. Add the mashed potatoes and mix well for 1 minute.

  8. Finally, add coriander leaves and turn off the flame. Set aside.

  1. Pinch two small balls from the dough.

  2. Dust with flour and flatten them using a rolling pin to form 4 to 5-inch round discs.

  5. Dust with flour and start rolling the paratha into a round shape, about 7 to 8 inches in diameter or about the size of normal chapati.

  6. Heat a tawa and place the rolled aloo paratha on it.

  7. Cook both sides for 30 seconds, then sprinkle ghee on both sides and cook until fully cooked over medium flame.

  8. Repeat the procedure for all parathas.

  9. Serve the tasty aloo paratha.
