  • 2tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 2tsp
    ginger and garlic paste

    oil

Sauce

  • 1cup
    fresh cream
  • 1/2cup
    Nando's sauce
  • 2tbsp
    tomato sauce
  • 1tbsp
    mayonnaise
  • 2tbsp
    butter
  • 1tsp
    Kashmiri chili powder
  • 1pinch
    salt

How to make Saucy Portuguese Chicken

Marinating and Cooking the Chicken

  1. Marinate the chicken with the listed ingredients for 1 hour.

  2. Place the marinated chicken on a foiled baking tray.

  3. Top with robot peppers and onion rings.

  4. Place in a preheated oven at 175 degrees Celsius for 1 hour for chicken pieces. Cover after 30 minutes.

  5. For strips, bake for 25 minutes, then turn and bake for an additional 5 minutes.

Preparing the Sauce

  1. Whisk the sauce ingredients together.

  2. Heat the sauce until warm.

  3. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken.

  4. Serve immediately with chips or spicy rice.
