Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 1lblean ground meat
- 1piecelarge head of green cabbage, shredded thinly
- 3piecemedium carrots, peeled and cut into small matchsticks
- 1pieceonion, cut into julienne slices
- 1tspgarlic salt
- 1/2tsppepper
Sauce Ingredients
- 2tbspsesame oil
- 1/2cuplow sodium soy sauce
- 1tbspfermented chili bean paste (or sriracha)
- 1cupchicken bone broth
- 4clovegarlic
- 1inginger
For Slurry
- 3tbspcornstarch
How to make Turkey Spring Roll in a Bowl
Preparation
Shred the cabbage thinly and set aside.
Peel and cut the carrots into small matchsticks.
Cut the onion into julienne slices.
Mince the garlic and ginger.
Cooking
Heat a large pan over medium heat. Spray with cooking spray (I use olive oil).
Add the ground meat, season with garlic salt and pepper. Cook until browned.
Stir in the onion, cabbage, and carrots, and cook until the vegetables are tender.
Stir in the onion, cabbage, and carrots, and cook until the vegetables for 3-5 mins.
Mix in the seasame oil, soy sauce, chili bean paste, chicken bone broth, garlic, and ginger. Pour over meat and vegetables. Cover with lid (helps cabbage to shrink).
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with a little water to make a slurry.
Tips & Tricks
For a spicier dish, add more chili bean paste or sriracha.
Serve with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
