Ingredients
Pudding
- 2cupsflour
- 1tspbaking soda
- 1 1/2tspbaking powder
- 1/3cupsugar
- 2pieceeggs
- 4tbspapricot jam
- 3tbspmelted butter or margarine
- 3/4cupmilk
- 1 1/2tbspvinegar
Sauce
- 1/2cupsugar
- 3/4cupmilk
- 1tbspvanilla essence
- 10tbspbutter or margarine
- 3/4cuphot water
How to make Malva Pudding
Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease a baking tray with butter or margarine.
Sieve all the dry ingredients together and set aside.
Whisk all the wet ingredients together on their own and add to the flour mix until combined.
Pour the mixture into the greased baking tray.
Bake for 25-30 minutes.
When the pudding is almost done, heat the ingredients for the sauce and let them boil for 2-3 minutes while stirring.
When the pudding is done, remove it from the oven and pour the sauce over.
Serve hot or warm.
Tips & Tricks
Ensure the sauce is hot when pouring over the pudding for better absorption.
Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or custard for an extra treat.
