Ingredients

4 Servings
(1 serving = 1 piece of chicken)

Main Ingredients

  • 4piece
    chicken thighs
  • 2tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1tbsp
    margarine
  • 3tbsp
    soy sauce to taste

Fine Spices

  • 8piece
    shallots
  • 6clove
    garlic
  • 3piece
    candlenuts
  • 1tsp
    pepper powder
  • 8piece
    curly chilies

How to make Grilled Chicken with Soy Sauce

Preparation

  1. Clean the chicken, coat with lime juice and a little salt, let stand for 10 minutes, then rinse. Make cuts in the meat so that the spices can easily be absorbed.

Cooking

  1. Saute the fine spices with a little oil and margarine until cooked and the spices turn darker.

  2. Add brown sugar and soy sauce to the spices and stir.

  3. Put the chicken in the sauteed spices. Pour water until the chicken is submerged.

  4. Add a little salt and seasoning. Cook until the water reduces and the sauce thickens.

  5. Place the chicken in the oven or grill and brush with the thick sauce. Bake in the oven at 200°C, top heat.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Adjust the amount of curly chilies to control the spiciness of the dish.

  2. Make sure to make cuts in the chicken to allow the spices to penetrate deeply.
