A traditional Italian dish made with layers of pasta, meat sauce, and cheese.

Ingredients
- 8piecelasagna noodles
- 1lbground beef
- 1pieceonion, chopped
- 2clovegarlic, minced
- 2cupmarinara sauce
- 1cupricotta cheese
- 2cupshredded mozzarella
- 1/2cupgrated Parmesan
- Salt and pepper, to taste
How to make Classic Lasagna
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook lasagna noodles until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Brown ground beef with onion and garlic. Drain excess fat.
Stir in marinara sauce and bring to a simmer.
In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
Spread a layer of marinara sauce in a 9x13-inch baking dish. Arrange 4 lasagna noodles on top.
Spread half the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by half the remaining marinara sauce.
Repeat the layers with the remaining noodles, ricotta mixture, and marinara sauce.
Top with mozzarella cheese.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Tips & Tricks
Let the lasagna rest for a few minutes before slicing to allow the layers to set.
