It is a noodles that is made with Suya spice also called( grounded peanut). that doesn't mean it's really spicy, it is made mainly with suya spice that is why it is called Suya spice noodles.

Ingredients

  • 2
    mini packs of instant noodles
  • 2
    table spoons of unsalted butter
  • 1
    medium sized onions
  • 6
    dried prawns
  • 1
    table spoons of soy sauce
  • 2
    Fresh tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1
    scotched bonnet pepper (roughly blended)
  • 1/8
    table spoon of powdered cameroon pepper
  • 1 1/2cup
    of water
  • 1 1/2
    sachet of instant noodles spice
  • 2
    Table spoons of Suya spices

How to make Suya Spice noodles

  1. In a clean pot, Add in 2 table spoons of unsalted butter allow to heat up for about 5 minutes.

  2. Add in your chopped onions, fry for about 3 minutes on medium low heat till it is translucent.

  3. Add in your dried prawns, soy sauce, fresh tomatoes, scotched bonnet pepper stir and fry for about 3 minutes before adding in your water.

  4. Cover and allow to boil for 3 minutes.

  5. Add in your instant noodles and allow to cook for about 5 minutes, before adding in the seasonings, Suya spices, Cameroon pepper for extra heat. Stir to combine.

  6. Cover and allow the water content to dry up. Serve with fried eggs, grilled chicken or beef.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Do not throw away your left over seasoning, I usually add little portion to my raw eggs and fry.

  2. When adding an onion into your noodles make sure to reduce the amount of water content been added. If its two mini noodles that requires 2 cups of water, reduce the water to be 1 1/2 cup. The remaining half will be released from the onions.
