Best Homemade Chicken Patties
**Home-cooked chicken patties are easy to prepare and packed with nutrition, making them a great option for busy families. Ingredients
- 1/2kgchicken breast
- 3/4cupgrated cheese
- 1piecebread slice
- 1egg
- 2piecegreen chillies
- 1/2tspcumin powder
- 1/2tspchilli flakes
- 1/2tsporegano/mixed herbs
- 1/2tspgrated ginger
- 1dashchopped coriander
- 1dashsalt
How to make Best Homemade Chicken Patties
In a food processor or chopper, blend all ingredients together until the mixture comes together.
If the mixture is too wet or doesn't bind together mix in a tablespoon of cornflour.
Divide and shape the mixture into patties.
Optionally, coat the patties with an egg dip and breadcrumbs for a crispy exterior.
Shallow fry the patties in a cast iron pan.
Cook covered for 3 to 4 minutes on each side over medium heat.
Serve with onion rings and your favourite chutneys and sauces, or sandwich the patty in a burger bun or bread slices.
Tips & Tricks
This is an original recipe. It is infused with flavours inspired from Indian, Mexican and Italian cuisines.
Using a cast iron pan allows for healthier cooking and uses lesser oil/fat.
Make it gluten free by using a gluten free bread or substituting the bread with 2 tbsp Psyllium husk or flax seeds powder.
