- 500gTomato
- 30gSesame seeds
- 30gPeanuts
- 6cloveGarlic
- 1pinchTurmeric powder
- 1/2tspRed chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- 2tspTamarind paste
- 1sprigCoriander leaves
- 100mLWater
For tadka
- 1/2tspZera (Cumin seeds)
- 1/2tspRayan (Mustard seeds)
- 1sprigCurry leaves
- 2tbspOil
How to make Tomato, Sesame Seeds, and Peanuts Chutney
Cut the tomatoes into pieces.
In a kadai, add the tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, tamarind paste, garlic cloves, coriander leaves, and 100 mL of water.
Boil the mixture until the water evaporates.
Turn off the heat and let it cool down.
In a pan, roast the sesame seeds and grind them.
Add the tomato mixture to the grinder and grind it as well.
Transfer the chutney to a bowl.
In a pan, heat the oil and add the cumin seeds and mustard seeds.
Once they start popping, add the curry leaves and dry red chilli.
Pour the tadka over the chutney in the bowl.
