- 8Lamb chops/cutlets
- 2tbspLemon juice
- 1 1/2tbspGinger Garlic paste
- 1tbspCoriander Powder
- 1tbspCumin Powder (roasted)
- 1tspGaram Masala
- 1tbspKashmiri Chilli Powder
- 1/2tbspSalt
- 3tbspCurd
- 5tbspOil
How to make Spiced Lamb Chops
In a large mixing bowl, combine the lamb chops, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, kashmiri red chilli powder, salt, curd, and 2 tbsp oil.
Mix well and rub the spices into the lamb chops.
Cover the bowl and marinate the lamb chops for 30-40 minutes.
Heat 2-3 tbsp of oil in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium-high heat.
Place the lamb chops in the pan and sear them for 3-4 minutes each side.
Lower the heat, cover with a lid and cook for 4-5 minutes more or until they are cooked to your preference.
Once cooked, remove the lamb chops from the pan and place them on a platter.
Serve them hot with mint or coriander chutney and some salad leaves.
Tips & Tricks
Take the lamb chops out of the fridge before cooking and bring them to room temperature.
You can marinate and refrigerate the lamb chops overnight for enhanced flavours.
Cooking time may vary depending on the preferred level of doneness and the thickness of the chops.
