How to make How to store Curry Leaves
Choose fresh, green curry leaves without any yellowing or spots.
Wash the curry leaves thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or impurities.
Place a few curry leaves into each compartment of the ice cube tray. You can place 10-15 curry leaves per compartment depending on the size of the tray and the leaves.
Fill each compartment with water, ensuring the leaves are fully submerged.
Place the ice cube tray in the freezer and let it freeze completely, preferably overnight.
Once the cubes are frozen, pop them out of the ice cube tray.
Transfer the curry leaf ice cubes to an airtight container or a freezer bag. Place the container or bag back into the freezer for long-term storage.
When you need curry leaves for a recipe, take out the required number of ice cubes. Let the ice cubes melt at room temperature. The leaves will regain their freshness as the ice melts.
