Ingredients

For the Marination

    boneless Chicken, cut into 1-inch pieces

    freshly ground Black Pepper
  • 1tsp

  • 1tsp
    Garlic Powder
  • 2tbsp
    Cornflour
  • 1tbsp
    Lemon Juice

For Cooking

  • 3tbsp
    Butter (divided)
  • 1tbsp
    finely chopped Garlic
  • 1tbsp
    Chilli Flakes
  • 1/4cup
    chopped spring onions greens

How to make Garlic Chicken Bites

  1. Thoroughly wash the chicken and pat it dry before cutting into 1-inch cubes. Place the chicken in a mixing bowl.

  2. Add the black pepper, salt, Italian herbs, garlic powder, cornflour, and lemon juice. Toss well to ensure the chicken is evenly coated with the marinade. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes.

  3. Heat a little oil in a skillet over medium heat.

  4. Add the marinated chicken pieces to the skillet, making sure they are spaced apart. Sear until golden brown on one side, then flip to cook the other side evenly. Cook until the chicken is almost done, then transfer it to a plate.

  5. In the same skillet, melt 1½ tbsp butter over medium heat.

  6. Add the chopped garlic and sauté for about a minute until it becomes fragrant.

  7. Stir in the chilli flakes briefly.

  8. Return the chicken pieces to the skillet, tossing them in the garlic butter mixture. Add the remaining butter and continue to toss until the chicken is fully coated.

  10. Serve the Garlic Chicken Bites hot, either with steamed rice or as a delicious appetizer.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Avoid leaving the chicken in the pan after it's cooked to prevent it from becoming dry and overcooked.

  2. You can sear the chicken ahead of time and simply toss it in the garlic butter just before serving for a quick finish.
