    Water
  • 1/2tbsp
    Salt (for boiling)
  • 3tbsp

Spice Mix

  • 1/2tbsp
    Kashmiri Red Chilli powder
  • 1tsp
    Amchur powder (dry mango powder)
  • 1tsp
    Chilli flakes
  • 1tsp
    Salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1tsp
    Chat masala powder
  • 1/2tsp
    Black salt
  • 1/2tbsp
    Dried Mint Powder (Pudina powder)

How to make Crispy Macaroni Namkeen - Spicy & Crunchy Tea-Time Snack

Prepare the Spice Mix

  1. In a small bowl, combine Kashmiri chilli powder, amchur powder, chilli flakes, salt, chat masala powder, black salt, and mint powder. Mix well and set aside.

Boil the Macaroni

  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt and the macaroni.

  2. Cook the macaroni until it's 90% done (al dente), about 6–8 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

  4. Transfer the drained macaroni to a mixing bowl. Add cornflour and rice flour. Toss well until the macaroni is evenly coated.

Fry the Macaroni

  1. Heat oil in a deep pan or wok over medium-high heat.

  2. To check if the oil is ready, drop a piece of macaroni into it. If it sizzles and rises immediately, the oil is hot enough.

  3. Fry the macaroni in small batches, stirring occasionally for even cooking.

  4. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 12–15 minutes per batch.
