    Red Chilli Flakes
  • 1/2tsp
    Black Pepper Powder
  • 1tsp
    Salt (as per taste)
  • 3tbsp
    chopped Coriander leaves
  • 4tbsp
    Cornflour (divided)
  • 1/3cup
    Water
  • 1/2cup
    Suji (Semolina)
  • Oil for frying

How to make Cheesy Chicken Balls

  1. Cook the chicken breast by boiling it and then finely blend it in a blender.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, grated cheese, garlic paste, oregano, red chilli flakes, black pepper powder, salt, and chopped coriander leaves.

  3. Mix thoroughly until it forms a dough-like consistency.

  4. Take small portions of the chicken and cheese mixture and shape them into lemon-sized balls.

  5. Divide the cornflour into two bowls. In one of them, make a slurry by adding water. Place the suji (semolina) in a separate bowl to coat the chicken balls.

  6. Roll each chicken ball in the dry cornflour powder first, then dip it into the slurry, and finally coat them by rolling them in the suji (semolina). Refrigerate the chicken balls for 10-15 minutes to firm.

  7. Heat oil in a deep pan for frying over medium-high heat.

  8. Carefully place the coated chicken balls in the hot oil and fry them until they turn slightly golden.

  9. Transfer the fried chicken balls to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Make the chicken balls as uniform in size as possible to ensure even cooking.

  2. Make sure the oil is hot but not smoking.

  3. Maintain a consistent oil temperature throughout the frying process.

  4. Adjust the seasonings to your taste.

  5. You can prepare the chicken balls in advance and refrigerate them. Just fry them straight when needed.

  6. This recipe yields approximately 15-16 chicken balls. The number may vary based on the size of the balls you create.
