Ingredients
- 250gbutter or margarine
- 250gall-purpose flour
- 250gsugar
- 250geggs (4 eggs)
- 2tbspvanilla essence
- 1tspbaking powder
How to make Homemade Butter Vanilla Cake
Use an electric beater to beat the butter and sugar. If the sugar is crystal, powder it. Beat until the butter softens.
Add the eggs one by one and beat for 15 minutes.
Add vanilla essence.
Sieve the flour and baking powder together at least 3 times to ensure even mixing. Always do this step before starting the wet ingredients.
Mix the flour with the batter using a spatula or the low setting of the electric beater.
Prepare the cake tray by placing an oil paper or applying some butter.
Transfer the batter into the cake tray.
Preheat the oven for 5 minutes at 180°C.
Place the cake tray into the oven and bake for 45 minutes at 180°C.
After baking, let it cool down, cut evenly, and serve.
Tips & Tricks
Always sieve the flour and baking powder together before starting the wet ingredients.
Add 2 tablespoon of milk to make the cake soft and moist.
