FAQS

  1. Can I use regular rice instead of sticky rice for this recipe?

No, sticky rice is essential for the texture and flavor of this dish. Regular rice will not yield the same results.

  2. What can I substitute for coconut milk if I have a dairy allergy?

You can use almond milk or any other non-dairy milk, but keep in mind that it may alter the flavor and creaminess of the dish.

  3. How do I know when the sticky rice is fully cooked in the rice cooker?

The sticky rice should be tender and slightly sticky when fully cooked. If it's still hard, you may need to add a little more water and cook it longer.

  4. Is Tajin necessary for this recipe, or can I skip it?

Tajin adds a unique flavor that complements the sweetness of the mango and the richness of the coconut milk, but you can skip it if you prefer or don't have it on hand.

Yes, you can prepare the coconut sauce in advance and store it in the refrigerator. Just reheat it gently before serving.
