Shrimp and Coating

  • 10
    Large Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2cup
    buttermilk
  • 1tsp
    garlic salt
  • 1/2tsp
    white pepper
  • 1/4tsp
    chili powder
  • 1/2cup
    chopped walnuts
  • 2tbsp
    water
  • 2tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/2cup
    cornmeal

Sauce

  • 1/4cup
    condensed milk
  • 2tbsp
    kewpie mayo
  • 1tbsp
    honey

How to make Honey Walnut Shrimp Rolls

Preparation

  1. Marinate the shrimp in buttermilk, garlic salt, white pepper, and chili powder for 30 minutes.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix the chopped walnuts, water, and brown sugar.

  3. Coat the marinated shrimp in cornmeal.

Sauce Preparation

  1. In a bowl, combine the condensed milk, kewpie mayo, and honey. Mix well.

Tips & Tricks

  1. For extra crunch, you can double coat the shrimp by dipping them in buttermilk and cornmeal twice.

  2. Serve the rolls with the sauce drizzled on top or on the side for dipping.
