- 1/2cupboiling water
- 1/4cupcold water
- 1bunch green onions
- 1tbspoil
Filling
- 1lbground beef
- 1piecegreen bell pepper
- 3cloves garlic
- 1tbspketchup
- 1tbspsoy sauce
- 1/4cupbreadcrumbs
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1cupshredded mozzarella cheese
How to make Easy Jamaican Beef Patties in Scallion Pancakes
Prepare the Scallion Pancake Dough
Mix flour and spices together.
Add boiling water and mix until a shaggy dough forms.
Add cold water to form a dough ball.
Knead the dough and set aside.
Cut and separate the white and green parts of the green onions.
Heat oil in a pan and add the white part of the green onion.
Prepare the Filling
Sauté the ground beef, green bell pepper, garlic, ketchup, soy sauce, and breadcrumbs together.
Mix in the cooked white part of the green onion from earlier.
Assemble and Cook
Divide the dough into 6 balls.
Roll out each ball as shown in the video.
Place the filling in the dough and add cheese if desired.
Seal with a fork and place on a baking tray.
