- 1cupOkra
- 1cupSpinach
Pepper Mix
- 1cupPepper mix (scotch bonnet, bell pepper, ginger, garlic, onion)
- 1pieceBouillon cube
- 1dashSalt
How to make Okra Soup
Preparation
Prepare the pepper mix by blending scotch bonnet, bell pepper, ginger, garlic, and onion together.
Chop the okra and spinach into small pieces.
Cooking
Heat palm oil in a pot.
Add the mackerel and cured fish to the pot.
Stir in the prepared pepper mix and cook for a few minutes.
Add the chopped okra and spinach to the pot.
Season with the bouillon cube and salt.
Allow the soup to simmer until the ingredients are cooked through.
Tips & Tricks
Adjust the spice level by adding more or less scotch bonnet to the pepper mix.
For a thicker soup, blend some of the okra before adding it to the pot.
