    soybeans

How to make Homemade Soy Milk

Preparation Steps

  1. Soak the soybeans in water overnight.

  2. Drain and rinse the soaked soybeans.

  3. Blend the soybeans with fresh water until smooth.

  4. Strain the blended mixture through a cheesecloth or fine mesh sieve to separate the soy milk from the pulp.

  5. Add vanilla extract to the strained soy milk and mix well.

  6. Heat the soy milk in a pot over medium heat until it reaches a gentle simmer.

  7. Allow it to simmer for a few minutes, then remove from heat and let it cool.

Tips & Tricks

  1. You can sweeten the soy milk with sugar or other sweeteners if desired.

  2. The leftover soybean pulp can be used in baking or added to smoothies.
