    Millet
  • 5clove
    Cloves
  • 1tsp
    Grains of Paradise
  • 1tsp
    Dried Chili
  • 1tsp
    Ginger

How to make Hausa Koko

Preparation

  1. Soak the millet in water for a few hours or overnight.

  2. Blend the soaked millet with water until smooth.

  3. Strain the mixture to remove any solids.

  4. In a pot, bring the strained mixture to a boil, stirring continuously.

  5. Add the cloves, grains of paradise, dried chili, and ginger.

  6. Cook for about 20 minutes until thickened, stirring occasionally.
