Carrot Rice recipe

Ingredients

4 Servings
(1 serving = 1 cup)

Vegetables and Spices

  • 2cup
    carrots, grated
  • 1tsp
    turmeric
  • 1tsp
    pepper
  • 1piece
    onion, chopped
  • 2clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1piece
    ginger, minced
  • 1piece
    bell pepper, chopped
  • 1piece
    bay leaf
  • 1tsp
    salt
  • 1piece
    bouillon cube

Proteins

  • 200g
    gizzards, cooked
  • 200g
    sausages, sliced

How to make Carrot Rice

Preparation

  1. Grate the carrots and chop the onions and bell peppers.

  2. Mince the garlic and ginger.

Cooking

  1. In a pot, heat some oil and sauté the onions, garlic, and ginger until fragrant.

  2. Add the grated carrots, bell peppers, turmeric, pepper, salt, and the bay leaf.

  3. Stir well and cook for a few minutes.

  4. Add the cooked gizzards and sliced sausages to the pot.

  5. Dissolve the bouillon cube in water and add it to the pot.

  6. Cover and let it simmer until the carrots are tender.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Feel free to add more vegetables or spices according to your taste.

  2. You can substitute gizzards and sausages with your choice of protein.
