How to make Alaasa Toffee

Preparation

  1. Wash the African star fruits thoroughly and cut them into small pieces.

  2. In a saucepan, add the sugar and heat it over medium heat until it melts and turns golden brown.

  3. Add the cut star fruits to the melted sugar and stir well to coat the fruits.

  4. Continue to cook until the mixture thickens and the fruits are well coated.

  5. Remove from heat and allow to cool before serving.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Make sure not to burn the sugar, as it will affect the taste of the toffee.
