Main Ingredients

  • 1 1/2cups
    wheat daliya (dry roasted)
  • 5cups
    water
  • 2piece
    onion (chopped)
  • 2cups
    carrot (grated)
  • 1cup
    green peas
  • 1/2cup
    capsicum (chopped)
  • 1/2cup
    broccoli
  • 1tbsp
    desi ghee
  • 1tsp
    cumin seeds
  • 2tsp
    salt
  • 1/2tsp
    red chilli powder
  • 1tsp
    garam masala

How to make Wheat Daliya/Upma

Cooking Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds.

  2. Add chopped onions and cook until golden brown.

  3. Add all the vegetables and sauté for 4 to 5 minutes.

  4. Add spices and cook for a minute.

  5. Add daliya and cook for 2 minutes.

  6. Add water, cover, and cook on low heat until the water evaporates.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Ensure the daliya is dry roasted for better flavor.

  2. Adjust the spices according to your taste preference.
