- 5cupswater
- 1tbspghee
- 1tspcumin seeds
- 1 1/2cupsmixed vegetables
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
How to make Red Rice Pulav
Preparing the Rice
Wash and soak red rice overnight.
Do not drain the water. Measure it and mix with additional water needed for cooking.
Add 5 cups of water to the rice, cover, and cook on low to medium heat until done.
Cooking the Vegetables
Heat ghee in a pan.
Add cumin seeds and sauté until aromatic.
Add mixed vegetables and sauté for a few minutes.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Combining and Serving
Mix the cooked rice with the sautéed vegetables.
Serve with raita of your choice.
