Makhana Kesar Phirni recipe

Ingredients

4 Servings
(1 serving = 1 bowl)

Main Ingredients

  • 1/4cup
    rice, washed, soaked and coarsely ground
  • 1cup
    fox nuts
  • 15
    almonds
  • 10
    cashews
  • 750mL
    full-fat milk
  • 1/2cup
    powdered sugar
  • 1/2cup
    saffron-infused water

How to make Makhana Kesar Phirni

Preparation

  1. Dry roast the fox nuts, almonds, and cashews. Make a coarse powder.

Cooking

  1. Heat the milk and add the rice and dry fruits mix.

  2. Stir continuously on low to medium heat.

  3. After 3-4 minutes, add powdered sugar and saffron-infused water.

  4. Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.

  5. Remove from flame, cool down, and serve chilled.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Ensure to stir continuously to prevent the mixture from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

  2. Serve chilled for the best taste.
