Ingredients

1 Servings
(1 serving = batch of masala)
  • 6tbsp
    cumin seeds
  • 1tbsp
    coriander seeds
  • 1tbsp
    black peppercorns
  • 4piece
    dry red chilli
  • 1/4tsp
    asafoetida
  • 1tbsp
    black salt

How to make Homemade Raita Masala

  1. Dry roast cumin seeds, coriander seeds, black peppercorns, and dry red chillies on low flame until the cumin turns brown.

  2. Switch off the flame and add asafoetida.

  3. Allow the masala to cool down.

  4. Add black salt and grind the mixture in a mixer until it becomes a fine powder.

  5. Store the Raita Masala in an airtight container.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Ensure the masala is completely cooled before grinding to prevent moisture.
