Falafel Mixture

  • 2cup
    chickpeas
  • 1clove
    garlic
  • 5piece
    green chillies
  • 1cup
    coriander leaves
  • 1tsp
    roasted cumin seeds powder
  • 1tsp
    salt
  • 1piece
    onion
  • 1tsp
    chilli flakes
  • 1/4tsp
    baking soda

How to make Crisp & Healthy Falafel

Preparation

  1. Wash and soak chickpeas overnight in 4 cups of water. Drain the water the next morning.

Falafel Mixture

  1. In a grinder, add chickpeas, garlic, green chillies, coriander leaves, roasted cumin seeds powder, salt, and sliced onion. Grind well.

Cooking

  1. Add chilli flakes and baking soda to the mixture. Mix well.

  2. Immediately fry the mixture in an appam pan or on medium to low heat until golden.
