Chatpatta Instant Mango Pickle recipe

Ingredients

10 Servings
(1 serving = 50g)

Main Ingredients

  • 1/2kg
    raw mango
  • 2tsp
    pink salt
  • 2tsp
    degi mirch

Tempering

  • 1tbsp
    sesame oil or mustard oil
  • 2
    red chilli dry
  • 1tsp
    fenugreek seeds
  • 1tsp
    mustard seeds
  • 1pinch
    asafoetida

How to make Chatpatta Instant Mango Pickle

Preparation

  1. Wash, dry, and chop the raw mango.

  2. Mix the chopped mango with pink salt and degi mirch. Set aside for 10 minutes.

Tempering

  1. Heat sesame oil or mustard oil in a pan.

  2. Add dry red chillies, fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, and asafoetida.

  3. Add the mango mixture to the pan and stir well. Do not overcook.

  4. Allow the mixture to cool, then pour it into a glass container and refrigerate.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Ensure the mango is completely dry before chopping to prevent spoilage.

  2. This pickle pairs well with rice, roti, or any meal.
