Bhune Tamatar ki Chutney recipe

Ingredients

4 Servings
(1 serving = a small bowl)
  • 4
    Tomato
  • 3tbsp
    Mustard oil
  • 1clove
    Garlic
  • 1
    Onion, chopped
  • 2
    Green chilli, chopped
  • 2tbsp
    Coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1
    Lemon
  • 1 1/2tsp
    Salt
  • 1tsp
    Degi mirch

How to make Bhune Tamatar ki Chutney

  1. Roast the tomatoes over an open flame until the skin is charred and the tomatoes are soft.

  2. Peel the charred skin off the tomatoes and mash them in a bowl.

  3. Heat mustard oil in a pan and add chopped garlic. Sauté until golden brown.

  4. Add chopped onion and green chillies to the pan and sauté until the onions are translucent.

  5. Mix in the mashed tomatoes, salt, and degi mirch. Cook for a few minutes until well combined.

  6. Remove from heat and add chopped coriander leaves and lemon juice. Mix well.

Tips & Tricks

  1. For extra smokiness, roast the garlic along with the tomatoes.

  2. Adjust the amount of green chillies to suit your spice preference.
