  • 2cups
    gram flour (besan)
  • 1cup
    desi ghee
  • 1 1/2cups
    castor sugar
  • 10piece
    almonds
  • 10piece
    pistachios
  • 4piece
    green cardamom

How to make Besan ki Barfi

Preparation

  1. Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat.

  2. Add gram flour to the ghee and roast until it turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma.

  3. Add cardamom powder and mix well.

  4. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

  5. Add castor sugar and mix until well combined.

  6. Pour the mixture into a greased tray and spread evenly.

  7. Garnish with chopped almonds and pistachios.

  8. Let it set for a few hours before cutting into pieces.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Roast the gram flour on low heat to avoid burning.

  2. Allow the mixture to cool slightly before adding sugar to prevent it from melting.
