Base Batter

  • 225g
    Gram flour
  • 1tsp
    Salt
  • 1/2tsp
    Turmeric powder
  • 1/2tsp
    Red chilli powder
  • 1tsp
    Kasoori methi
  • 1/2tsp
    Garam masala
  • 300mL
    Water

Paneer Base Mixture

  • 150g
    Cottage cheese
  • 1/2
    Carrot, grated
  • 1/2
    Onion, chopped
  • 2tbsp
    Bell pepper (red, green, yellow)
  • 1tsp
    Salt
  • 1/2tsp
    Red chilli powder
  • 1/2tsp
    Garam masala

How to make Besan Ka Cheela in 4 Different Ways

Base batter

  1. Mix Gram flour, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, kasoori methi, garam masala, and water.

Chila 1: Besan Paneer Chila

  1. Mix the base batter with the paneer base mixture.

  2. Add garlic chilli paste and water if needed to adjust consistency.

  3. Cook on a hot griddle until golden brown on both sides.

Chila 2: Lehsuniya Palak Cheela

  1. Mix the base batter with garlic green chilli paste and spinach puree.

  2. Add the paneer base mixture.

  3. Cook on a hot griddle until golden brown on both sides.

Chila 3: Gulabi Cheela

  1. Mix the base batter with garlic green chilli paste and beetroot puree.

  2. Add the paneer base mixture.

  1. Mix the base batter with garlic green chilli paste.

  2. Add the paneer base mixture as stuffing.

  3. Cook on a hot griddle until golden brown on both sides.

Tips & Tricks
